beauty focus [caviar]

i have never been a fan of caviar - fish eggs just don't do it for me, however, having seen the splash ciate's "caviar" nails made at fashion week i decided to rethink my position on the little fishy balls! 

this textured manicure/pedicure is achieved by sprinkling coloured metal micro beads onto wet nail varnish and is meant to resemble the ultimate in luxury - as if beluga caviar has been spread across your fingers/toes (minus the fishiness if you have an aversion to that!)

i have to say - i quite like the result! i'm going to try it out in silver as well.

nyc part 2

so... one trip to A&E and a lung infection later (the things you pick up on planes are just horrendous!)... i was not feeling or looking the best this easter weekend so here are some outfit posts from nyc:

This outfit took me to a delicious italian restaurant called san martin between lexington & 3rd avenue where i had the best spaghetti & meatballs i have ever tasted!

new york [new york]

i know... it's been a while between posts - what can i say? life has been rather hectic, but instead of boring you with the details - here's a few pics from my recent trip to new york!!!!

bizarre that i went to america to have french toast, but hey - they do it sooo well [there was a lot of eating on this trip. some serious dieting is now in order!!] 

we walked the length & breadth of NY several times [trying to compensate for all the eating] so central park provided a nice rest stop

you are never stuck for a cab in this city  

the guggenheim- one of my all time favourite buildings.  i can [& did] walk around this building for hours, forget the artwork inside it [i have a vague memory of twisted car metal], the architecture of this place leaves me in awe.

the owl [& the leopard cat]

keeping with this weeks inspiration, we went for some retro styling in our weekly dress-up session. on chilly nights you want your fashion to be cosy as well as chic & this owl print knit fits the bill [plus it has a feel good factor - looking at the owl just makes you smile, no idea why!]

all readers of this blog are probably aware that a large percentage of my wardrobe consists of this label - hey, when you find something that suits you and reflects your personality stick to it!- and now jersey's very own boutique, Manna, has had these stunning gold silk mix trousers named after it - yes the manna pants! so of course expect to see them featured on me in future posts (yay! it will make a change from all the black i've been wearing).
